ARISE Wetwheels

WWArise

(Two of todays guests on Wetwheels)

Today saw the start of our 2013 season of activities on Wetwheels.  Todays event was funded by an ARISE grant (a consortium of Gunwharf Quays, Wightlink and Vail Williams), the new team of Paul Duffield, Keith Plumridge and Gus Mckechnie braved the sub-zero temperatures and took our first guests out for a taste of the ocean waves.  Despite the snow, guests enjoyed a tour of Portsmouth harbour followed by a trip out into the Solent where skipper Paul gave them a taste of Wetwheels' 600 horses - suffice to say, it put a smile on everyones face.

Geoff Holt, MD of Wetwheels CIC Ltd said; "It's great to be back on the water again doing what we do best. It has been ridiculously cold but well done to everyone who braved the elements today with one client even making the trip from Maidenhead in Berkshire to be with us today.  I am particularly grateful to Land Securities plc who own Gunwharf Quays, to Wightlink and to Vail Williams who gave us a grant for todays event - it is very much appreciated and we will hopefully be doing many more later in the season".
