Olympics & Paralympics
If you watched any of the Olympic sailing events on the TV, then the footage you watched was broadcast from Wetwheels. Equipped with half a million pound gyroscopic camera, Wetwheels had the highest possible accreditation to go where required on the racetrack.
Chartered by LOCOG because of her wide, stable deck, her quick turn of speed and her limited wash so as to not affect racing, she was the unsung hero of the Olympic sailing.
Following the Olympic Games, she was further retained by the Paralympic Games, this time as a VIP spectator vessel.
We are very proud indeed to have played such an important part in our sailing history.
