Trustee Vacancy

The Wetwheels Foundation enables disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages to access the water through a network of fully accessible powerboats. We are a charity with ambitious plans to identify and locate similar facilities at strategic locations around the UK.  We are a registered charity with a growing number of Operators around the country.

To strengthen our body of expertise in preparation for this exciting phase in our development, an opportunity has arisen for 2 vacancies on our Board of Trustees.

We need people who can help the Wetwheels Foundation achieve its mission and to ensure the organisation remains efficient, relevant and is effectively managed. We are particularly keen to recruit Trustees with one or more of the following skills;

  • Accounting / Financial with experience of the voluntary sector
  • Legal knowledge, specifically of the voluntary / charity sector
  • Networking and relationship building at a strategic level
  • Experience in growing a business
  • Expertise in Marketing, PR or Event Management

An understanding of either theleisure boatingordisabilitysectors will be an advantage but is not essential.

Board meetings are held every two months in Portsmouth, usually between 5.00pm and 7.00pm.
