Website Update

Wow, where has the summer gone?  Apologies to our followers who have been missing our regular blogs.  We had some technical changes to the website but they are now complete and it is now possible to Donate to our national charity, the Wetwheels Foundation and pay for your trips directly through the website.  Take a look and let us know what you think.

It has been an amazing summer. Hands up who saw Wetwheels at work during the America's Cup in Portsmouth in July? We had a prime position as we took journalists around the race track following Sir Ben Ainslie in his amazing machine.

Amongst our many trips this summer, some of the highlights included our week on charter to our friends Cowes Sailability for Cowes Week immediately followed by a week in Yarmouth for their annual festival.

Southampton Boat Show always concludes our busy season and once again we were supported by British Marine and Suzuki Marine and took many disabled people out onto the water at the Show.

All of that hard work has taken its toll on Wetwheels and this week she has gone back to Ventnor on the IOW, to her birthplace at Cheetah Marine for her annual refit. This year she is in for a surprise, not just her usual makeover, this year she is being fitted with a brand new pair of Suzuki 300hp outboard engines.  As I write, the engines have been delivered and are being fitted next week.

We have some really exciting news about our participation numbers for 2015 which will be formally announced in the next week or two so keep watching this space.

A huge thanks to our very special team who keep Wetwheels going and keep all of our passengers so happy and give them such great experiences.

And just because the busy boating season is over, the work continues to identify more funding so we can develop Wetwheels and locate more boats in new locations around the country.  Please help us achieve this dream by clicking on the donate button above.
